Why us?

  • We are convinced that economic action and care for people and the environment go hand in hand. We use recycled main materials, support the cleanup and education program of our partner foundation in Indonesia, and join forces with ocean conservation organizations around the world. Together, we want to make a difference—bag by bag, cleanup by cleanup, partnership by partnership.
  • Thanks to flat hierarchies, we communicate efficiently with one another and ensure that every voice in the team is heard. This allows you to get involved right from the start and work independently. We can only achieve this together in a diverse team.
  • Working together respectfully and trusting one another is particularly important to us. When we encounter problems, we work together to find a solution, allowing us all to continuously improve. We think and act like entrepreneurs—for us, that means we are allowed to make mistakes and learn from them. That is how we move forward and grow together.
  • With us, you have the freedom to work in a way that allows you to achieve your goals. You can expect exciting challenges, personal development, plenty of learning opportunities, and always a great deal of joy in shared success. Flexibly switch between our office in Mainz’s Old Town (Altstadt) and your home office. We firmly believe that working together on-site brings great value, which is why we follow a 50:50 philosophy between the office and home office. In addition, we have a remote work policy that, subject to approval by your lead, allows you to work from another country for up to one month per quarter (time difference max. 4 hours).
  • In true startup fashion, you can of course also expect a fridge full of trendy sodas, plenty of lunch break and after-work fun, regular team events, and a great team that is always happy to support you.

About us

Since 2018, we have been developing minimalist backpacks and bags made from recycled main materials. To achieve this, we turn plastic waste into functional, durable companions. What started as a small start-up with a simple idea and a single backpack design has grown into a certified B Corp™ with a team of over 90 employees and a partner foundation in Indonesia. GOT BAG Indonesia leads clean-up and educational programs on Java. Together with local participants, the foundation collects plastic waste from coastal regions, builds structures for a functioning waste management system, and addresses plastic pollution right at the source. We fund this work and collaborate closely with the team on site. As a B Corp™, we are part of a global community of businesses that meet high social and environmental standards. At the same time, we rely on partnerships with inspiring ocean conservation organizations such as Sea Shepherd and Coral Gardeners.
